now that's just sad...
How could you be so mean!!! You know, those banana slugs over there are kind of useful... if you ever need it, they can be rubbed into a wound and they'll numb the pain. Just so you know. :)
Uh, there's like, no way I would rub slug goo in any open wound. That's just gross.
OK, fine. But you're missing the point. Banana slug slime has medicinal properties. It'll numb the sting from stinging nettles etc. etc. Supposedly natives used them for toothaches, how about that? Just put that slug your mouth for a while...
so the salt is a spice rub so you can put the slug in your mouth?
I don't think you'd want to rub it in a wound if you'd salted it; that would negate the positive effects! I think this is an either/or situation!
